Auto top-up and low-balance alerts on velqa.dev — never run out of credit
Auto top-up saves a card and recharges your Boost balance as soon as it drops below a threshold you set; a low-balance email alert also warns you when the balance is low. It's all configured in Billing, under balance protection. Payments are in beta.
What it does
- Auto top-up: when your Boost balance drops below the threshold, a Stripe top-up of the amount you chose is triggered automatically.
- Low-balance alert: an email is sent when your balance drops below the same threshold.
Both features rely on the same threshold.
Configure
In the dashboard, open Billing then Auto top-up & low balance alert (balance protection). There you set:
- A saved card — required for auto top-up.
- An alert threshold in USD — between 0.5 and 1000 USD. This threshold triggers both the email alert and the auto top-up.
- A recharge amount — the amount added on each auto top-up.
Good to know
- Without a saved card and a chosen amount, auto top-up stays inactive (the email alert can work on its own).
- At most one auto top-up per 24h.
- Auto top-up is disabled automatically after 2 consecutive failed charges.
